Our Gay Patong Entertainment list covers more
than 50 gay venues in Patong and now also
Phuket town including discos, pubs, bars,
restaurants, coffee shops etc.
This is the only web site with updated listings
of all gay venues in Patong along with other
venues being "gay popular".
We can provide the information you need to
find your way around here, then it's up to
you to judge and find your own favorite spots.
This web site promotes Gay tourism to Thailand
NOT sex tourism.
Enjoy your stay!
THE GAY SCENE:
The first think to understand is that the
Thais don’t look at being Gay the
same way they do in the west. Here the attitude
is more “live and let live”.
Katoys – transvestites – have
long been respected and an acceptable part
of the Thai culture. Gays are often more
in the closet than Katoeys since gay life
doesnt have the same space in Thai culture
as the katoyes.
In the Patong and Paradise Complex areas
there are Gay bars, restaurants, saunas,
shops and guesthouses to suit every taste
and every budget.
While there are many Gay Thais on the island,
and while it is surprisingly easy to meet
them, the men in the bars and go go clubs
are working. Happy to come with you for
a night or a month, they depend on your
kindness to send money home. Some of the
working men are even straight. If you are
interested in these men at one of the bars,
you pay a small fee to the bar for them
to accompany you and then show your appreciation
by providing a “tip” to your
new friend. You can talk to them in the
bar (and most of the Captains in these bars
are multi-lingual and will translate for
you to the extent necessary).
If you aren’t interested buy the
man a drink and give him a small tip for
his time. If you hit it off – the
relationship is then – as they say
in Thailand – “Up to you”.
Just remember that this is a different
Culture than you have back home –
wherever you come from. Everything here
is above board and very friendly. Try to
be generous with all the people you meet
here and you will be richly rewarded by
their kindnesses and consideration.
Where can I go?

need as well as for pure enjoyment. Only a few
massage places have male masseurs.

or to the beach at late night. If you are really
into cruising go to Phuket town and visit the Suan
luang Park. Phuket town does not have any gay venue

a vibrant modern gay scene. The anchor or nucleus
of the gay scene is the popular Boat Bar Disco
